The Low Down V from Switched on Cycles is the lightest electric bike in our library, at a low 20 kg including the battery. It folds smoothly and can fit into the passenger seat of a car, making it a fantastic option for those wanting a transportable bike or one that can easily be carried upstairs and stored in a small apartment. With 7 speed Shimano hub gears, suspension seat post, adjustable handlebars, 20” wheels, a 14 amp hour battery and Tektro disc brakes, this bike is super easy to ride. The Low Down V does have a carrying capacity limit of 100 kg, so this is not the best option if you’re after a cargo bike – although it still has a sturdy pannier rack for small loads. But for those who simply want an easy commuter bike that can be safely stored in small places, you can’t go past the Low Down V.
